Honkers don't really honk

Don't you hate you mascot,HONKERS?! Imagine calling yourself a Falcon instead of a Honker. It sounds way better. You should think about coming to our miraculous school called River Valley High School. Consider coming here we are a new school, we have great rallies, an tremendous spirit. What sounds do honkers even make?

Well, to start off River Valley is a new high school that was open to students in 2005. Being a new high school has a lot of advantages. We get new classrooms along with new supplies, new locker rooms stocked with pe equpiment, and new supplies for science class rooms for labs. Along with being a new high school we also get new restrooms. Not old ones like Yuba City High School that is probably over 50 years old! A girl I know that goes to Yuba City High School complains a lot that one of her classes is always hot because the Ac always breaks down from being to hot. Since Yuba City High School is an older high school it contains a lot of flaws. River valley doesn't have that issue because it's a new high school that come with new AC's.

River Valley High is always full of spirit Our rallies are always fun to attend. We have even had a black out ralley which means we got to have all the lights off and have only UV lights on which made the students glow, along with the performers and their floats. Teachers sometimes even perform by dancing and getting pies in their face. Like our principle got syrup and green feathers on him whih was hallerious. One homecoming week, everybody gets to dress up as a certain thing depending on the day. One day could be pajama day and the other would be crazy hair day, which is really fun to do. Every Friday the students get to play music on the speakers on the quad. Sometimes they even put the wii out in the cafeteria so the students can play. Bet you no other school does that.

You may have heard or seen that River Valley is a closed campus. It's true. Don't think that just because we are a closed it's going to stink. It really isn't bad. You may want to go out and get fast food. But fast food isn't good for you anyway. The school lunch is actually good. We have different varieties of food. We have Chinese food,which is the best, American food, and Mexican. River valley was also designed to be a closed campus so the cafeteria is big and appropriate for a lot of students to buy food. Student stores are also around campus where you can buy snacks. Such as chips and drinks so if you get hungry and just want something small, just go to the student store at lunch or break.

River valley is a great school to attend. The atmosphere is very welcoming. Spirit can definably be found here. This school absolutely tries making their students feel part of the school. From welcoming the freshmen at the first rally to the decorations around school. This school doesn't loose a chance to give this school enlightenment and spirit. River Valley is a great school to attend. So be a falcon, no one can soar high then we can. Oh and Honkers don't really honk.
