Racism

The “n” word may easily represent racism in America, or at least it could be perceived in that way. The “n” word is used as a derogatory and offensive term and is usually banned all through America in books, songs, and on television. It is excluded from white people mouth, radio talk shows, schools, etc., but not all pulpic influence. Banning books or music lyrics or comedy routines that use the “n” word or force people to confront issues of race is not the way to eliminate racism. We must educate the young to learn that all people are created equal and that all people bleed red blood. The way to eliminate racism is through education. We must study history so that history does not repeat itself. We must earn equality for all. Racism may be due from the effect of today’s society- first there was segregation and unequal civil right. There were different school, different churches, different and unequal jobs ever different public restrooms and water fountains amongst the segregated population because of skin color. No matter how hard any human being tries, you cannot escape the past. This is where education comes into use. Although we cannot fight racism in America by ignoring it, we can’t exploit it

Because it is one of the biggest problems America faces. Racism may cause problems such as crime and poverty but people can not justify what racism causes. We cannot expect to eliminate racism in America unless we demolish the double standard that seems to exist now- if whites can’t use the “n word”, then neither should black rappers or comedians or authors should try and make a shock to the world by saying the “n” word. Although we cannot expect to eliminate racism at all, it has already been engrained in society ever since the African slave trade revolution in the 1500’s. Censoring media that use the “n” word does not eliminate racism, but just a word with 6 letters and 2 syllables in that particular song or television show. We will always have to deal with hatred and this includes racism.
