The Use of Technology

Introduction

Technology continues to evolve according to the needs of the people and the ongoing construction and reconstruction of the competition in the global market. Technologies were apparently being applied in different sectors and industry for its promise to deliver the efficiency towards the work. The use of technology is advantageous especially when it is applied on the objectives of the work and the outcome of the collaboration of the technology and work is very beneficial to the users.

Background of the Study and Problem Statement

Through the development and innovative ways to increase the capabilities of the work, the call for the use of technology became popular. Nowadays, different type and specifications of the technology are being used in different respective field of work. Technologies can be found in the health care settings, business, and even in educational institutions. However, aside from the current situation or status of the technology in the society, what are the problems of the institutions and other business or hospitals needed to be improved through the use of the technology?

Research Objectives

The study provided strong association of the three objectives. First, is to identify the impacts of the use of technology in different settings and industry. Second, is to assess the different ideas propagating within the industry and other settings towards their use of technology. And third, is to determine the outcome from their use of technology.

Research Questions

The study identified the three key questions that can serve as the engine towards the completion of the entire study.

1. What are the functions of the technology in pedagogical settings, businesses, and hospitals?

2. What are the common problems in which the use of technology is a considerable answer?

3. What are the benefits that the institutions might realize in the appearance of technology in their system?

Literature Review

Most of the educators and administrators found that the use of technology is an effective way to increase the performance of the students in academics. The technology as being part of the curriculum created several impacts such as being focus on the student’s achievement of quality education (Adeyemo and Kuye, 2006; O’Dwyer, et al., 2005). Much of the other benefits are the establishment of a strong communication between the educator and the students (Adeyemo and Kuye, 2006). In accounting, the use of the technology signifies the control over the properties, assets, and other liabilities of the business (Yayla, 2007). This also gave the people to perform their specific tasks. On the other hand, the use of the technology in the health care setting created an innovative system. Within the invention of the simple card, the patients’ past-records and other useful information can be easily accessed, even if the patients are enrolled in different institutions (Parente, 2008).

Methodology

The applied method of the study is the utilization of the secondary information. The ideas gained by the study came from the past literatures and case studies that allow the study to measure, compare, and generate its own analysis which is very vital in the study. The secondary information contains the opinions of the experts towards the use and as well as the implementation of the technology.

Conclusion

The use of technology in different industries clearly depends on their functions and their aims. For example, there is an increasing need for another curricular program. Therefore, the availability of the technology is one of the considered initiatives of the educators and administrators towards the quality education. Many technologies are recognized through their efficiency when applied in different industries. However, the most common tool being utilized is the use of computers wherein there is human intervention. People should bear in mind that technologies are partners in their aim to achieve their own objectives and the continuous development in technology means that there is also continuous development and improvement in different type of industries.
