Introduction
The health care organizations have a same management just the same as the manufacturing and services industry has. The management of hospitals is also under the umbrella of the organizational leaders who addresses the current issues about the status of the health and creates strategic planning to have a better service. Most of the hospitals apply the traditional way of giving health to the patients through the standard procedure set by the health care sector and the organization.
Background and Problem Statement
People know that the only way to acquire the quality health is to listen to the promotion, advises, and prescriptions of the doctors. On the other hand, people turn to ask the medical professional help to cure their illness and diseases. Based on the facilities and services applied by the health care providers, the quality result towards health and wellness can be delivered. However, there are few unsatisfied patients who blame the hospital in their situation. Regarding the unsatisfied patients, there is an emerging issue that concern about the gaps in nursing service.
Research Objectives
The first objective of the study is to identify the issues that are related in the nursing health care and service management in Black Lion Hospital. The second objective is to assess the issues and determine if the hospital answered the issues or not. Through that assessment, the gaps can be identified and can lead to the third objective which is to push the hospitals in providing various strategies that can result in a quality service.
Research Questions
There are several questions prepared that can serve as the engine of the study in the process in meeting the objectives. The health care system and management are the focus of the questions to ensure that there is an alignment between the literature reviews and empirical situations.
1. What are the common challenges being faced by the nurses?
2. What are the recognized difficulties of the management in terms of the health services?
3. What are the actions of the management about the area of their weakness?
Literature Review
Many researchers criticized the level of health care system in different parts of the world. They believe that the outcome of health depends on three factors which are the management, the system, and the health care practice. Although, there is a continuing effort to resolve the issue pertaining to the health care, the creation of health are policy services remains in the middle of the issue. The application of the health care models in an institution can be based on the government policies. This makes the wrestle of the health care management on the various problems such as the rising cost and lack of access to care. Definitely, the management has the more control, regulations, and imposition of various strategies and system (Tanner, 2008). Aside from those problems, the hospital management is also battling in the shortages of the health care professionals which creates a great depression among the patients for they suffer too much on their illness without the professional aid. Added to that is the lack of health care insurance for the patients and the raid growth of the population. These last two problems generates to another problem which is the low medical coverage. The low health status of the country is very evidential in the behavior of the management in answering the health issues. The level of education among the health care professionals is also considered as a problem that dictates to the future of the hospitals and capacity of the institution for the retention (Kennedy, 2007). However, the application of technology is also prioritized by the management for they believe that through the help of the advanced technologies, the quality of service can be delivered (Wimby, 2007).
Methodology
The proposed method in the study is the use of the interview. Firstly, the participants are consisted of the nurses and management team in Black Lion Hospital. Their information will be provided such as their age, gender, position in the hospital, and number of years in practice and service. That information is believed to create an influence on to what the nurses and the management ideas and how the way they will act on the issues of nursing practice. Through the application of the interview, the conducted material can serve as the evidence for the development of the analysis.
Conclusion
The management and the people should contribute all their skills and knowledge in order to satisfy the needs for health and wellness. In this way, the quality of health care can be assured.
