Nursing Dynamics

Introduction

The roles of nurses created an increasing interest in the world of medicine and healthcare. Nursing professions is delicate specifically in the real-world practice. Through the education and the collaboration of practice, the future of the medical environment can be based on the professionalism of the nurses placed into their responsibilities. The main objective of a healthcare provider such as the nurse is to deliver the quality care and promote the health in and outside the health care settings.

Nurses and their Responsibilities

Nurses held the most complex role in the medical settings. Their job is more than monitoring the stages of development of the patient, they also measuring the illness affecting or being affected by the physical, emotional, mental, social, and spiritual factors. Part of their job is performing well in assessing, diagnosis, and technological skill, and at the same time attends to the needs of the patients to provide medication, comfort and counseling. Being dedicated to their chosen profession is one of their top priorities and to make it possible, nurses are expected to be responsible and knowledgeable.

Considering that most of the nurses are flexible worker in the field of medicine, they can be the assistant to doctors and when possible can craft clinical judgments are part of their practices, values and ethics. The touch of technology also reached their domain to make an additional knowledge that can be useful in determining the difference between a disease and the illness and even the coming medical problems. Albeit sometimes, the nurses faces a mix of old and new issues, and the time usually dictates a challenge which definitely creates an impact in their overall role in the society.

Registered Nurses are the nurses that are qualified to undergo into series of additional qualifications. The nurses are expected to work in number of hours and in adverse events, which may be the root of the problems in nurses. However, the professional care implemented in their practice is based on their ability to resolve any health care cases because of their broad knowledge and experience. And with that fact, the registered nurses can easily shift their work according to what is needed (Liskowsky, 2000).

The professional nurses are nurses who practices in the community depending on which part of the community is involved. As a professional nurse the wisdom and community needs are not considered as a base for arranging the system and regulation are important to the health care provider. These might serve as guidance in the nursing practice to the community like choosing the appropriate health care services.

The staff nurses are the front liners and supporting staff. Whenever the nurses visit patients at least once an hour, to address their needs and help ensure coordination of care among team members. The staff coordinates with their supervisors and department heads to create an ambience of being responsible towards their patients (Edwards, 2009)

Auxiliary nurses can be also called as midwife and play the role of the midwife. They are the reliable people or nurses in which the women usually rely on the matters of pregnancy and the stages involved in it. In rural health settings, many women are reported to trust the auxiliary nurse in terms of taking care of the pregnant women until the time for her delivery (The Manager, 2004).

Competency of Work

The nursing practice played essential role, but somehow one way or another; the lack of training may lead to difficulty in performing in the health care department (Beck, 2008). The overall role of the nurses in their practice is to promote the quality of health and provide the care that is expected by the patients under their due care. It is important to understand their purpose and assess the environmental stress that affects the patients and staff and take action to alter unhealthy situations (Jennings, 2008). They should maintain the connection between their roles and responsibility for multiple patient care areas. However, improved working conditions for nurse administrators, leader, or supervisors might make role more appealing and help correct the serious deficiency in clinical assurance.

Conclusion

The nurse’s role has long been regarded as stress-filled based upon the physical labor, work hours, staffing, and interpersonal relationships that are central to the work nurses do. And as a leader in a nursing practice, the hard work is doubled, the sacrifices are not valued and the time is not enough. The idea of being a leader to give his all, skills, knowledge, time; and he can be very effective in promoting the positive clinical interaction.
