Managing the educational institution is almost the same in managing the workforce; the only difference is that, the students are working for their own gain and paid the appropriate grade depends on their academic performances.

Background and Problem Statement

The leadership within the educational settings has a system in management and ideologies in improving the existing educational programs or curriculum. The idea of keeping a person with social and personal morals such as honesty, courage, respect and broad mindedness can be the same individual who can effectively lead the entire educational institution (Rudell, 2008). Leadership, in every part of the educational context and settings is very evidential and definitely needed to align the people towards their goal. However, in the private schools, how does the idea of leadership affects the management?

Research Objectives

The first objective of the study is to identify on how does the leadership affects the management of private school. And the second objective is to promote the most ideal attribute or characteristics of a leader that is more capable in managing the educational institutions.

2. What is the most suggested leadership style or attitude that can help improve the quality of education?

3. How can we say that there is an effective leadership in private schools?

Literature Review

Aligning the people is one of the basic attribute of an effective leadership. Along with that is the proper management of the people in moving toward their objectives. Leadership can be described as the trait of a person to set strategies made especially for school improvements. The changes that an individual may produce are another beneficial factor of his leadership to cope the changing environment. On the other hand, the management is the process of the duties of the leaders. Through the appropriate management, the problems and areas need for development or improvement can be determined. Effective leaders are also community builders and can influence others to be a leader in their own way (Victor, 2009).There should be a moral purpose when there is a recognized leadership; the leadership should be part of an adaptive work; the leadership should establish the unique roles and responsibilities; and the leadership should know their domain or the centralization of their action (Huber, 2007). Most of the private schools received the lack of funding and the proper management of the educators (Day, 2007). Based on the different challenges in the education, a leader should promote the effectiveness in the education in delivering most of the quality attributes. Through the roots of the personality of the leaders, the effective approach in managing the schools will come out in them naturally (Mai, 2004).

Methodology

The applied methodology is the use of the comparative case study. This method allows the study to examine the gaps in the literature as well as comparing the presented valued thoughts. In addition, through the comparative case study, the study can create its own analysis regarding the main topic of the study and generate a strong conclusion.

Conclusion

The leaders should focus on managing the schools towards its goals and objectives. Since the students are considered as their clients, the leaders centers their focus in delivering the quality of education based on the needs of the students and the further concern of demands of their parents. The leadership in the private schools is the start of the educational evolution towards campaign of the educators in delivering the quality in education.
