Introduction
Most of the organizations are using the records to facilitate the review and the formulation of the other areas that were needed to be improved. The Proper records and its management definitely a great help for the entire organization to predict the future of the organization. In the creation of various strategies, the propellers of an organization can provide specific answer if they were asked to formulate another strategy to fulfill their established goals.
Background and Statement of the Problem
The record management is another essential element in the formulation of the basic strategies for the organization. Through the proper management of the records, the organization can eventually relate the current situation to their past and leave a legacy. It is natural for the organizations to maintain their position in the industry and keep on chasing the dream of fulfilling their set goals. Through the different processes and intervention created by the organization and its people, the process for improvement and the road towards the success is ready to be taken. However, the reports that gathered form the past performances of the organization are created to detailed the different situations and the applied solutions that they create. In the proper record management, how will this help the attainment of the organization to its goals?
Research Objectives
The objectives of the study run in the attainment of the organizational goals. The first objective pertains to the use of the records and its management in the pursuance of the entire organization to establish their goals. Second objective is to seek other suggestions in where the use of the records management can be fully implement in the entire organization in achieving the goal of the organization. And the third objective is to provide adequate solution in the smooth implementation of the process in the entire system of the organization.
Research Questions
The proposed study believed in the power of the organizations to be successful in their industry. Several question are prepared that can aid in the fulfillment of the study’s objectives.
1. What are the purposes of the record management?
2. Who are the key people that should incorporate their skills in the record management?
3. What are the limitations or drawbacks of using the records that might affect the organizations performance in attaining its goals?
Literature Review
The process of maintaining the given data or record is a practice in which the organization keep all the gathered information and then afterwards being destroyed after the relevant usage to avoid the future leakage. Management, indeed, is set for the attainment of the organizational goals. Through an effective strategy and efficient manner, the goals set by the organization can be satisfied. Through the planning, organizing, leading, and controlling, the organization is well managed. In terms of recording, all the four aspects of management can be also applied and can be considered as the organizational strategy to meet their specific goals. Records can be part of the organizational resources and through hard times, the leaders sometimes look for the records to review the past data (Wilson, 2005; Thomson Learning, 2007). The management in the recoding is dragging the issue of competency. The organization records, current records as well as management practices and the other important documents can be present in the system. The records are forms to align the organization and through the lesson, the information can be available. The management of the records can be in the use of the computers, electronic imaging systems, microfilm-based records, paper documents, and other records (Burns, 2008).
Methodology
The applied method in the study is the use of the survey among the employees within an organization. The participants took their personal information such as their age, gender, years of experience, and position in the organization. These data can somehow affect the result of the survey. In accordance to the survey the use of questionnaires will handed on the participants. It is expected that the participants might based their answers on their experience but the questions are entirely focused on the use of the record management of the company. Through the survey, the knowledge of the participants will be tested.
Conclusion
An effective records management program will help the agency be successful, responsive to the people they serve, and legally defensible. Accomplishing those objectives requires records managers and other agency leaders to have the current information about the development and management of records. The organization's leaders and managers should integrate records management throughout the organization.
