Introduction
Why young people do not always want to spend time doing sport? What do they prefer to spend their time doing instead? In the trend of globalization and the high-tech digital world, everybody can find whatever they need in the comfort of their home. Often, people, both adults and youths, are engaged in the society wherein various issues and concerns are competing in the mainstream of the people’s consciousness. Sometimes, the people accept the things in front of them and just to their best on what challenge it might bring in their lives. In this issue of preparedness among the individuals, they can afford to buy what they want and what they need and fail to consider the other things in which money cannot be bought. Only two things that can be consider – health and leisure – and that is through the engagement in any sport activities.
Sports are Intensive Exercise
Both men and women are dying to have the ideal figure. Men often go to the gym to produce big muscles on their biceps and amazingly carve the buns on their abdomen. On the other hand, women often go to the yoga studio or spas to satisfy their dream of slim body and perfect skin. Meanwhile, vain people are spending much just to lose weight under the supervision of a doctor. Actually, going to the gym and yoga studio is not bad for the people. It can obviously makes the people spend just to take two – three hours a day but cannot realized any changes in their body. But going under the needles just to reduce the unwanted is different. The health and wellness are the main issue and not just about the money-matters.
One commonly suggested activity that the fitness expert of advice to their clients is to take the appropriate exercise. Through the exercise, an individual can tone her or his muscles well, achieved the right posture, prevent the osteoporosis even at a very young age, and avoids the involvement of too much money. And because people are too much busy in their school or at work, or probably lazy, they cannot afford to engage in an exercise program. This overlapping of schedule can be resolved through the involvement of an individual in a sport. An active sport is an intense exercise, wherein an individual can burn the fats, calories, and increase their state of metabolism. In addition, it can help the body of the person toned according to the sports he is in. Through the sports, the person can use his muscles that are not often used when he is at work or at school. Flexing their muscles can also create the person to develop his other abilities such as hand and eye coordination. There are many other benefits that the sport might bring and change the normal life of the people, from enjoyment to leisure to gaining friends, and being fit, definitely the engagement in an active sport can deliver the best.
Hurdles on Sports
Aside from the personal perceptions about the sports, the involvement of the injuries and other related bone and muscle disability is natural in sports such as football, baseball, basketball, volleyball, and track and field. The injuries are very popular on the said sports because of the use of their legs for running. Injuries are natural and should be expected in every type of sports. But other factors that prevent the people being involved in any sports is the appearance of the alternative leisure. That type of leisure is very appealing especially on the children and teenagers. The innovative mind of the technological software organization males it possible for the children to play all day long without being hurt and be stuck in their couch or bed. The technology makes it possible for the young people to be in the world unknown to us which can be found on online games. These various games are the popular reason why children fail to achieve the highest score in their examinations, sleeplessness, problems with their vision, and obesity. Because children stay too much with their technology-best friend, their participation in any form of sport or socialization is affected.
On the other hand, the adults or the young adults are more concern on shopping, decorating their home, bar-hopping or hanging out with friends and/or family, and working. Honestly, working is an essential need of every individual to live and help their family’s financial situation. Still, the only thing that they do when they are out of the office is to sit in their couch and watch movies. Sometimes, the influence of the media is reflected on the way the people talk or think and forget their physical needs such as in sports activity.
Conclusion and Recommendations
Even in the busy life of the people, they should forget the benefits that the sports might bring in their lives, most especially on the part of the children. Through the participation in any sport, there is a tendency to avoid the other illness or health problem in the future. People can possibly mix their busy life with the sports only, if they find the answer on how to balance the sports on their work or school. All they have to remember is that through the sports, they can establish the true essence of teamwork and gaining the body figure they want to achieve.
