Ipods at School

I HATE THE "NO IPOD" RULE! Have you ever heard someone say that? Most kids in middle school are the ones to say the because most schools don't allow them. Some schools that dont allow them take the Ipods away from kids that see them and give them back at the end of the day. Some might not even give them back until the end of the year!Schools should allow students to bring their Ipods at school.

Some students might lose or get their ipods stolen. However, if students were allowed to bring their ipods to school they could use them during free time and put them back in a safe place where they won't get stolen or lost. Most kids during their freetime do homework. So while they do their homework they can listen to their ipods. Using their ipods while doing their homework will most likely keep them from talking to people around them and messing around.

It is true that a few students from a class might listen to their ipods during class without permission. So teachers then could have a box with a lock on it so students can put their ipods in and teachers would know that none of their students will be listening to them during class. Also while people are taking their tests they can listen to their ipods. Listening to their ipods while taking tests will help them to stay on task and not pay attention to people that are trying to talk to them or cheat. This way they won't get into trouble.

Students should also be alound to listen to their ipods on the track while running to keep them focused and concentrate so they won't pay attention to peole around them running. However, they should be aware that their ipods can break, so they should put them in a case or a cover and clip to keep them from falling, breaking, or getting scratched. Ipods can also help raise money for the Global Fund to fight AIDS.Buying the red ipod in stores that carrie them will raise money for AIDS.

Many people would be happy and excited for a change that would let them bring their ipods to school. True, there are many arguments against this idea also, but with specific rules in place,we could make it work.
