Daniel Boone

Daniel Boone was one of eleven kids in his family. Boone’s family left Devon, England to live America. His family was raised with Quaker values. Daniel Boone was a great hunter. He would provide food for his family.

As Boone grow up he fell in love with a girl named Rebecca Bryan. One day when Boone and Rebecca were at a cherry picking harvest where Boone took a hunting knife and made large holes in her apron. Daniel Boone did that to see if she was patient to be his wife. Some years later Boone and Rebecca got married and started a family.

Boone was one of the earliest and best- know American pioneer to cross the Appalachians. He also led settlers through a road called the Wilderness Road. Bonne and his family and the settlers lived on a fort called Boones borough that Boone made. They would use the fort for protection from the Indians.

Boone was a heroic person because of all the great things he did to be free. Boone was brave because of all the wars and bargains with the Indians to keep the settlers and his family safe. I think Boone and his family was proud of his accomplishments in his life. I also think Boone is curious because of all the different things he did and found. He was also determined to live in Kentucky and not to move.
