Factors Influencing the Utilization of Nursing Research among Nurses

Introduction

Nursing profession became the most popular opportunity around the globe. It is considered as one of the highest paid work, with the respect coming from both inside and outside the hospital settings. Nursing practice gathered the credentials in being number one through the continuous progress from the start of the education up to the medical practice. In this way, there is assurance that the results are reliable and valid.

Background and Problem Statement

The development of the profession came from the idea that there should be a proper funding and research in the nursing practice. The everyday routine of the nurses is good evidence that there are followed system and procedures to meet the specific outcome for the patients. The focus and management of the nurses towards the patients’ health situation are the result of their quality services. However, through the continuous researches and evidence-based practice of the nurses, there is an assumed outcome that the development in the profession is settled.

Research Aim and Objectives

The main aim of the study is to determine the factors that influence the practice of the nurses through utilizing the nursing researches. The use of the credible sources of information bearing the concern of the nurses of today about the healthcare is a great advantage to promote the quality of services. In order to compensate the aim of the study, there are three objectives that should be satisfied. First is to identify the importance of the nursing researches and evidence-based study. Second is to recognize the impact of evidence-based practice in nursing profession. And third is to analyze the possible future implication of the evidence-based practice in strengthening the nursing practice and profession.

Literature Review

The evidence-based practice and/or nursing researches, has the ability to provide the effective service of the nurses in healthcare industries. The time of delivering the healthcare services among the patients manifests in the capability and competency of the nurses. The evidence-based practice in the work of the nurses can be the effective structure and foundation in treatment or medication of the patients. The experiences of the nurses are found to be an important factor to properly accommodate the needs of the patients as well as their satisfaction regarding the service. Aside from this fact, the competency of the nurses is built from their past experiences allowing them to remain strong in the midst of changes. The evidence-based practice of the nurses serves as their guidance in answering the competitive pressures, multi-faceted delivery mechanisms, and various healthcare strategies. Assisting the nurses in performing the medical practice and drawing conclusion are the other important features of evidence-based practice. Apparently, most of the nursing environment used the idea of the clinical referencing coming from the medical researches or evidence-based practice to support their decision and expanding their knowledge. It is vital among the nurses who are no yet ready or confident enough to provide the judgment regarding the health situation of the patients. In the past years’ experiences of the nurses, attending the patient’s needs and fulfilling their other duties are the most common representation of the nurses’ work. But the true nature of their work lies in their ability to create their decisions and use their knowledge and skills toward the patient’s health outcome.

Methodology

The suggested method in the study is the use of the comparative case studies. Through the use of the case studies that centers on the evidence-base practice, the contemporary situations in hospital settings can be linked into the past experiences of the nurses. In addition, the case studies can support the decision making of the nurses in performing the healthcare practice. This is also a good reference for the nurses in the continuous promotion of quality healthcare. By giving the necessary ideas regarding the evidence-based practice, the nursing profession is identified to be well developed.

Conclusion

The development of healthcare practice and profession is well anticipated across the globe. The solution provided by the evidence-based practice and nursing researchers is truly meant to utilize in this type of environment. It is only natural for the medical professionals to gain knowledge and gather experience through reviewing the clinical researches’ outcome. Although the quality and accuracy of the medical researches might not be enough in the current health situation, still it can be an effective formula that can lead to achieve the appropriate solution.
